Signing of the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charta

On the 1st of July the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charta was released. With our signature beneath and inside. As a member of the national associations DVAI (German Association of the Flavour Industry) and DVRH (German Association of the Fragrance Industry) we helped developing and realizing the Charta on the international level of the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) and the IOFI (International Organization of the Flavour Industry). The Charta cover all spans of sustainability and takes a life-cycle approach. Based on the 5 focus areas responsible sourcing, environmental footprint, well-being of employees, product safety and transparency and partnership. As a family business we are looking further ahead than many other companies. We want our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to be healthy, happy and successful. This goal can only be achieved though a path of long-term planning, particularly with regard to nature and people. There is one Earth only and we must protect her!

A Visitor from the German Bundestag

On the 25th of June Henstedt-Ulzburg showed itself from ist sunniest side and greeted everyone with a beautiful blue sky. A day full of open and informative exchange and of course with a healthy social distance. Mrs. Christine Aschenberg-Dugnus (FDP, full member of the Committee of Health) and Mr. Stephan Holowaty (member of the Legislative of the Land Schleswig-Holstein MdL, FDP County Chairman, Chairman of the Planning and Building Committee) got the latest view of the actual growth and health situation at FREY&LAU. Keeping Corona at a distance is our maxim! We can proudly say, that every single of the 250 employees help keeping Corona out. It is a great succes that all hygenic and working arrangements and the discipline of our employees result in a count of zero infections here at FREY&LAU.

Successful for more than 180 years FREY&LAU has been based in Henstedt-Ulzburg, near Hamburg, since 1994. The company’s premises span about 20,000 square meters. The ultra-modern building complex combines development laboratories and analytic, production facilities, large warehouses and the entire administrative department all under one roof.
