Out of respect for nature

The majority of the raw materials for our products come directly from nature. Consequently, we owe much of our economic success to nature. Only in harmony with nature can we continue to be a reliable partner for our customers in the future. For these reasons, environmental responsibility is a priority a Frey + Lau. This environmental awareness also defines the ongoing and partner-like cooperation with our suppliers on all continents.

Environmental protection begins in everyday life

Environmental responsibility influences our decisions in day-to-day business just as much as it does decisions about long-term planning and investments. We take ecological environmental responsibility related to process development and process optimization, starting with simple use of consumable materials and utilization of reusable and recyclable packaging up to minimizing the number of trucks used for our transports. We only use environmentally safe cleaning agents for cleaning our production facilities. For example, tanks, mixing equipment and mixing containers are cleaned with steam in order to avoid pollution caused by surfactant-containing detergents and solvents. Our waste water runs through an oil separation system to prevent contamination and is regularly inspected by us and the responsible authorities. We also filter our exhaust air in order to prevent harmful environmental pollutants. Furthermore, power, gas and water consumption is sustainably reduced in all company buildings through an efficient power management system. We are also active right outside our doors. Our outdoor premises, which feature several large, pristine ponds, were planted with many native plants in order to provide a place of refuge for indigenous animals.
