Trade fair PLMA 2023 in Amsterdam
From May 22nd to 24th we were active as an exhibitor at the PLMA trade fair in Amsterdam. At this world's largest private label event, we met customers, business partners and interested parties at our colourful and inviting booth under the motto "Inspirations & Solutions". With various collections of fragrances, essential oils and flavours, we were able to convince our numerous guests with competence and creativity. A great time for valuable conversations and highly informative exchange in an inspiring environment!

Support for “Help Mada”
Since the beginning of this year FREY&LAU supports with great pleasure the non-profit association "Help Mada e.V.". In this way, we would like to make a contribution to sustainably improving the quality of life of the people of Madagascar. About 80% of the population there live below the poverty line. What is particularly lacking is adequate medical care and educational opportunities. "Help Mada e.V." collects donations to build and expand schools and health stations. In addition, vanilla farmers are to be provided with an additional source of income through vegetable cultivation. FREY&LAU has been sourcing vanilla pods from Madagascar for decades, which we process at our site.

Analytics
A comprehensive analysis of raw materials and the identification of individual components in our in-house laboratory is part of our standard procedure at FREY&LAU. After all, the quality of the product is a top priority. Our laboratory team has extensive expertise in analyzing, testing and evaluating essential oils and aroma chemicals. In our analytic department, we perform complex quality controls using state-of-the-art equipment (GC, GC-MS, IR), which also includes our own residue analysis for monitoring and preventing solvent residue. In addition, a consistently implemented quality assurance system based on GMP ensures verifiable safety.
Sourcing
We source our raw materials from all relevant countries of origin around the world. Reliable and longstanding relationships with selected suppliers are vital in this regard. For that reason, we regularly visit our suppliers and producers in the countries of origin. Being close to the market means that we often realize developments quicker than the competitors. The search for new supply sources and suppliers is also continuously secured by our various contacts abroad. Based on detailed market reports and constantly updated price information, we can advise our customers down to the smallest detail prior to a purchasing decision.
Storage
We have a lot in stock: Large warehouse capacities mean fast delivery times. With more than 5000 m2 of storage space, we can always supply customers and partners with their desired products and raw materials, on short notice and on time right when the products are needed in any size and quantity. By maintaining a permanently available stock of the most important raw materials for the fragrance and flavouring industry, we guarantee smooth production processes. Along with a state-of-the-art, IFS-certified warehouse, we have an open customs warehouse for fast, cost-effective transit business. Furthermore, we store an extensive range of various raw materials in our on-site hazardous materials warehouse.
